Integrating key technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), computational analysis, and visual control, these products provide intelligent hardware support for ensuring the safety of rail transit and improving operational efficiency.
Case No.1
Ensuring the safety of traction power supply and power systems is a top priority in metro operation and maintenance. TouchThink’s 17.3-inch industrial panel PC, model TPC-W28, is widely used in supporting control cabinets in metro station areas such as power distribution rooms, high-low voltage switchgear rooms, and environmental control electrical rooms. It can collect, analyze, and monitor the status of power supply equipment, power parameters, and alarm information in real time, thus ensuring the continuous power supply for critical loads in metro stations.
The TPC-W28 adopts a streamlined dedicated board structure, adapting to a wide voltage range of DC12~36V and a high-low temperature environment of -10℃~60℃, enabling 24/7 continuous operation. Its powerful expandability—equipped with multiple I/O ports, 2.5Gbps dual LAN, and WiFi/Bluetooth—supports the access of multi-channel sensor signals and enables communication with the SCADA power dispatching center. This realizes centralized management and remote control, significantly enhancing the reliability of the metro power system and the efficiency of operation and maintenance.
Case No.2
Metro security inspection is an essential process for ensuring passengers’ sicurezza. Tuttavia, during peak passenger flow periods, improving the efficiency and accuracy of security inspections remains an urgent issue to address. As an imaging device with high penetration capability, X-ray security scanners can accurately identify prohibited items in luggage and have been deployed in major metro stations.
TouchThink’s 21.5-inch industrial display, model TPC-M4, is used in conjunction with X-ray security scanners. The key to its application lies in its excellent image performance and high environmental adaptability. The TPC-M4 supports multiple signal interfaces including HDMI, VGA, and DVI, making it compatible with mainstream X-ray security inspection equipment. Its 21.5-inch 1920*1080 full HD large screen with 10-point touch functionality can present X-ray scanned images clearly and realistically, facilitating image observation and interactive control. Equipped with an industrial-grade wide-temperature design and the ability to operate stably for long periods, the TPC-M4 provides reliable support for the high-intensity security inspection work in metro stations.
Case No.3
In traditional rail transit catenary maintenance work, manual power verification and on-site grounding wire connection/disconnection are relied on, which is inefficient, time-consuming and poses potential safety hazards. TouchThink industrial tablets are applied in visual grounding systems, supporting remote automatic grounding, automatic power verification and discharge, as well as remote visual monitoring. This significantly improves the efficiency of grounding operations and reduces operation and maintenance costs.
In questo caso, TouchThink embedded industrial panel PC (model: TPC-W2) is equipped with an Intel® J4125 quad-core processor, enabling smooth operation of the grounding management system. Its 19-inch high-definition panel can display the status of grounding devices in real time. The device supports Gigabit dual-network and Wi-Fi/4G communication, and allows real-time upload and synchronization of self-inspection records and abnormal information. Inoltre, TPC-W2 can be customized with functional modules such as card readers, cameras, and fingerprint scanners to strictly verify personnel identity and operational legitimacy, ensuring application security.
Case No.4
Leveraging technologies such as lasers, infrared sensors, and machine vision to monitor information including train wheel sets, undercarriage temperatures, and pantograph status in real time is crucial for ensuring the safety of train operations.
TouchThink’s 13.3-inch industrial panel PC, model TPC-W22, is applied in the trackside detection system of a metro depot. Equipped with Intel® 12th Gen Core™ i5 processor featuring powerful 10 cores and 12 Discussioni, it can process large volumes of image data and run intelligent analysis algorithms to identify abnormalities such as wheel wear, operating conditions of key undercarriage components, and pantograph-catenary pressure, thereby generating graphical detection results. The TPC-W22 is designed with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, porte seriali, and multiple USB ports, enabling connection to a variety of external sensors. It also supports WiFi/4G to ensure network synchronization, effectively improving the efficiency and quality of train maintenance.
Case No.5
The subway construction process involves multiple professional construction projects such as track laying, electromechanical installation, and dynamic debugging. With engineering trains running in mixed traffic inside tunnels and numerous potential safety hazards in cross-construction, an intelligent dispatching system is required to ensure subway construction safety.
TouchThink’s 12-inch ARM-based industrial panel PC, model TPC-A5, is deployed in the train cab as an on-board intelligent terminal. It can achieve real-time interconnection with the dispatching center via 4G/5G wireless communication to receive dispatching commands, operation plans, track occupancy status, and safety early warnings. Combined with GPS on-board positioning, it can upload information such as the train’s own location and speed to the dispatching and command center, enabling visual tracking and real-time control of the train and assisting in safe driving. The TPC-A5 supports EMI/EMC anti-interference, antivibrante, and anti-shock protection, making it suitable for on-board installation.
