RISC stands for Reduced Instruction‑Set Computer. In the industrial control industry, RISC‑Based Panel PC almost always refers to ARM‑platform industrial panel PCs (Rockchip RK3399/RK3588, Phytium, NXP i.MX series), which are different from X86 (CISC‑Complex Instruction‑Set Computer) industrial panel PCs.

Panel PC: An industrial all‑in‑one touch computer integrating motherboard, Processeur, display screen and touch panel. It is not a simple HMI touchscreen, but a complete computer capable of running an operating system.

Key Features (RISC‑Based / Panneau PC ARM)

✅ Low power consumption: Typical total power consumption of 5‑12W. Fan‑less enclosed enclosure, ideal for equipment cabinets with dust and oil contamination.

✅ Operating System: Androïde / Debian/Linux; no native Windows support.

✅ Highly‑integrated SoC: Integrates CPU+GPU+NPU+VPU with built‑in hardware encoding and decoding. Suitable for web‑based HMI, MES workstations and edge‑AI inference.

✅ Interfaces: Ethernet port, RS232/485 serial port, GPIO, USB; supports PLC connection.

✅ Advantages: Slim form factor, low heat generation, cost‑effective. Limitations: Incapable of running Windows‑based configuration software (WinCC, KingView).
