Recently, the guidance technical document of the national standard project – Industrial Process Measurement Control and Automation, Intelligent Manufacturing – Part 1: Terms and Definitions, in which TouchThink participated in the formulation as one of the main drafting units with in-depth involvement, has passed the review and entered the approval stage. It is expected to complete the formulation in 2025. After its official release, this document will become an important basic supporting document for intelligent manufacturing, effectively improving the completeness and international recognition of China’s intelligent manufacturing standard system, and will be of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of China’s manufacturing industry.
With the development of international trade, cross-border business collaboration in the industrial sector has deepened increasingly, and industrial chains and supply chains have spread across the world. However, due to the lack of unified terminology, problems such as cross-border and cross-regional obstacles to technical exchanges, difficulties in system integration, and barriers to international cooperation often arise. To address these issues, this guidance document comprehensively defines hundreds of basic terms related to intelligent manufacturing, including intelligent manufacturing, intelligent products, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet of Things, cloud services, and edge computing, providing authoritative conceptual explanations for global research and implementation of intelligent manufacturing.
During the formulation of the document, based on its long-term dedication to the industrial sector and insights into applications, TouchThink deeply participated in standard discussions, contributed its practical experience and forward-looking understanding of technology, and gave full play to the role of industry experts to provide suggestions, promoting the formulation of the standard.
TouchThink has always adhered to the core value of “driven by innovation”, attaching great importance to investment in R&D and innovation. It has accumulated over 160 honors, patents, and software copyright achievements, and has maintained close cooperation with key national universities such as Harbin Institute of Technology. It has also launched in-depth research in fields including power consumption design, structural strategies, and hardware improvement for embedded computers. “By integrating the scientific research resources of universities and the practical achievements of enterprises, we hope to further break through existing technical bottlenecks, realize the innovation of industrial control hardware products and solutions, and contribute to the more accurate and reliable operation of industrial automation systems,” said the person in charge of TouchThink’s technology.
This participation in the formulation of national-level standards reflects the recognition of TouchThink’s technical capabilities and professionalism by the industry and market. It represents a leap in TouchThink’s corporate strength and lays a foundation for its future development. Taking this as an opportunity, we will further advance our transformation from a standard follower to a standard setter, continue to embrace industry cooperation and scientific research discussions, constantly enhance our comprehensive strength, and drive the upward development of the industry.
