The Automate Show (officially known as the U.S. Industrial Automation and Robotics Exhibition) is a professional trade fair hosted by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) — which incorporates the Robotic Industries Association (RIA), the Automated Imaging Association (AIA), and the Motion Control & Motor Association (MCMA). It is held biennially (once every two years).
Prior to 2019, the exhibition was consistently held in Chicago. In 2021, it was relocated to Detroit for the first time, and has since alternated between these two cities.
Now recognized as one of the largest and most influential robotics and automation technology exhibitions in North America, Automate brings together professionals from the global robotics and automation sector to share cutting-edge technologies and groundbreaking innovations.
In 2022, the event welcomed approximately 500 exhibitors, covered an exhibition area of 14,000 square meters, and attracted an attendance of 20,000 visitors.
Its scope of applications spans diverse industries, including aerospace, machinery processing, packaging, printing, rubber manufacturing, public transportation, warehousing, chemical engineering, consumer goods, electronics, new energy, vocational training, furniture production, glass processing, and healthcare.
