This trend has brought about challenges in visitor access control, information transmission, and security management both inside and outside buildings. Consequently, the smart building video intercom system was developed. By employing multi-factor identification, it ensures the convenience and security of information exchange between building interiors and exteriors, gradually becoming an indispensable supporting facility for modern residential communities.
Industry Application Requirements
The smart building video intercom system primarily facilitates information exchange between residents, visitors, and the management center. Its components typically include an entrance console and indoor stations. Beyond supporting video intercom functionality, customers often require the entrance console to integrate multiple identification modules, such as facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, IC cards, QR code scanning, and keypad entry. Given its outdoor installation environment, the entrance console must meet stringent requirements for functionality and reliability:
- Low power consumption, supporting round-the-clock operation, withstanding outdoor environmental challenges including extreme temperatures, water, & dust.
- Multi-modal recognition support, including facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, QR code scanning, card reading/writing, and password authentication;
- Smart lighting enhancement ensures optimal performance during nighttime use;
- Large capacity, supporting storage of visitor recordings, photos, videos, and other data;
- Interactive display screen supporting property information, commercial advertisements, community O2O services, and other applications.
- Network support, enabling remote door control via mobile apps and mini-programs;
